Find out your actual Accessibility Act exposure.
A fixed-scope assessment of your top 10 templates or screens, against WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549, mapped to the obligations the EAA actually places on you. Five working days. €1,200.
Who this is for
- Teams selling a digital product or service to consumers in the EU, who now have an obligation and no assessment of where they stand.
- Agencies and product teams who have been asked for evidence of conformance by a client or a procurement process, and need something defensible in writing.
- Organisations who have run an automated scan, got a reassuring score, and suspect it isn't the whole picture.
What you get
A findings report your developers, your lawyers and your procurement team can each act on — not a wall of automated output.
Your top 10 templates or screens
Chosen with you — the pages that carry the journey, not twenty variations of the same card.
An automated pass, plus a manual review
Of the criteria automation cannot see: keyboard operation, focus order, meaningful alternative text, announcement of errors and state.
Every finding mapped twice
To a WCAG 2.2 success criterion, and to the EAA obligation it sits under. One is what your developers need; the other is what your legal and procurement people need.
A prioritised remediation order
By how much exposure each fix closes rather than by how hard it is.
One 30-minute call
To walk through it with whoever has to act on it — so the report lands with the people who have to fix it.
What this is not
This is an assessment, not a rescue. Specifically, it does not include:
- Remediation. I tell you what is wrong and in what order to fix it. I do not fix it as part of this engagement.
- A legal opinion. The EAA is a directive; each member state writes it into national law, and scope, enforcement and penalties vary by country. This report scopes your technical exposure. It is not advice from a lawyer and does not replace it.
- A full conformance statement. A complete EN 301 549 conformance report covers every criterion across the whole product. This covers 10 screens. If you need the full document, that is the full audit, and this fee comes off it.
Price and terms
€1,200
plus VAT where applicable. EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under reverse charge.
Available to organisations based in the EU. Outside the EU? Email me and I'll invoice you directly.
Five working days from the point we agree the 10 screens. Payment up front, because the work starts immediately and the deliverable is the whole product. The full €1,200 is credited against a subsequent full audit, with no time limit. If this report tells you that you need the full engagement, you have not paid twice for the same work.
Who does the work
Matthaios Mantzios. Head of UX & Design at ITML, and author of Web and Mobile Accessibility: A Comprehensive Guide to WCAG 2.2, the ADA, and the European Accessibility Act.
The person who reads your product is the person who wrote the book on it. There is no junior tier on this engagement, which is also why the scope is 10 screens and not 200.
What automated testing can and cannot find
Questions about the Exposure Report
What counts as a “screen” or “template”?
One distinct layout. A product listing page is one, no matter how many products run through it. We agree the list before the clock starts.
What if we have fewer than 10 screens?
The price is the same; the review goes deeper on what's there. It's a fixed scope, not a quota to fill.
Can you assess a native mobile app?
Yes. The criteria come from EN 301 549 either way; the testing method differs.
Do you re-test after we've fixed things?
Not as part of this. A re-test is a separate, smaller engagement, and it makes more sense once the fixes are actually in.
What happens after I pay?
You get a confirmation and a short scoping form the same day. The five working days start when we've agreed the screen list, not when the payment clears.
