Who we are

This website, uxellence.gr, is operated by User Experience Excellence ΜΟΝΟΠΡΟΣΩΠΗ Ι.Κ.Ε. (UXellence), ΓΕΜΗ 181481901000, with its registered office in Marousi (Athens), Greece. Its founder and manager is Matthaios Mantzios. For any privacy question, contact matthaios@uxellence.gr.

What data we collect

We collect only what we need:

• Contact and quote forms: when you send the contact form or the Greek quote form for the AI Registry packages, we receive what you enter (for example your name, email address, organization, phone number if you give one, and your message), so we can reply. The form is handled by our own web server, which emails it to our inbox through Apple’s iCloud Mail. To stop spam, the server keeps a scrambled (hashed) copy of the sender’s IP address with the times of recent submissions, and ignores entries older than one hour. We process this data because you asked us to contact you.
• The State of UX in Greece survey: the survey «Η εμπειρία χρήστη στην Ελλάδα 2027» runs on Tally. It asks for no name, email address or company. Taking part is voluntary. It is open from 11 January to 15 February 2027. This is based on our legitimate interest in researching how companies in Greece invest in user experience.
• What Tally keeps: Tally states that it does not collect IP addresses with answers, and the answers we receive contain none. Like any website, Tally’s servers see your IP address when the page loads. Tally stores a random respondent number with your answers, and keeps that number and your progress in your browser so you can continue where you stopped. The number does not tell us who you are. Only answers you send reach us: if you stop before the end, nothing is sent.
• How we publish the results: some combinations of answers (for example sector and company size) could narrow down who answered. So we publish results only in aggregate, show no figures for any group with fewer than 10 answers, and quote answers to the open question only without anything that identifies the person or company.
• Organisations that share the survey: associations and communities that share the survey link with their members do not receive the answers. They get the results report, in the form described above, before we publish it in March 2027.
• Deleting your answers: because we do not know who answered, we cannot find one person’s answers after they are sent, unless you give us details that let us find them (for example roughly when you answered and some of your answers). If we can identify them, we will delete them.
• Asking for the survey results: you ask through our contact form, not the survey, so your request is not linked to your answers. We use your email address only to send you the results, and delete it once they are sent.
• Στα ελληνικά, για όσους συμμετέχουν στην έρευνα: Η έρευνα «Η εμπειρία χρήστη στην Ελλάδα 2027» γίνεται στο Tally, βελγική εταιρεία που φιλοξενεί τις απαντήσεις στην ΕΕ για λογαριασμό μας. Δεν ζητάμε όνομα, email ή εταιρεία. Η συμμετοχή είναι εθελοντική. Η έρευνα είναι ανοιχτή από τις 11 Ιανουαρίου έως τις 15 Φεβρουαρίου 2027. Η επεξεργασία βασίζεται στο έννομο συμφέρον μας να ερευνούμε πώς επενδύουν οι εταιρείες στην Ελλάδα στην εμπειρία χρήστη.
• Τι κρατά το Tally: Το Tally δηλώνει ότι δεν συλλέγει διευθύνσεις IP μαζί με τις απαντήσεις, και οι απαντήσεις που λαμβάνουμε δεν περιέχουν καμία. Όπως σε κάθε ιστότοπο, οι διακομιστές του Tally βλέπουν τη διεύθυνση IP σας όταν φορτώνει η σελίδα. Το Tally αποθηκεύει μαζί με τις απαντήσεις έναν τυχαίο αριθμό συμμετέχοντα, και κρατά τον αριθμό αυτό και την πρόοδό σας στον browser σας, ώστε να συνεχίσετε από εκεί που σταματήσατε. Ο αριθμός δεν μας λέει ποιος είστε. Μας φτάνουν μόνο οι απαντήσεις που στέλνετε: αν σταματήσετε πριν από το τέλος, δεν στέλνεται τίποτα.
• Πώς δημοσιεύουμε τα αποτελέσματα: Ορισμένοι συνδυασμοί απαντήσεων (π.χ. κλάδος και μέγεθος εταιρείας) θα μπορούσαν να περιορίσουν το ποιος απάντησε. Γι’ αυτό δημοσιεύουμε τα αποτελέσματα μόνο σε συνολική μορφή, χωρίς στοιχεία για ομάδες με λιγότερες από 10 απαντήσεις, και παραθέτουμε απαντήσεις της ανοιχτής ερώτησης μόνο χωρίς στοιχεία που αποκαλύπτουν το άτομο ή την εταιρεία. Οι φορείς και οι κοινότητες που μοιράζονται τον σύνδεσμο της έρευνας στα μέλη τους δεν λαμβάνουν τις απαντήσεις. Λαμβάνουν την έκθεση των αποτελεσμάτων, στη μορφή που περιγράφουμε παραπάνω, πριν τη δημοσιεύσουμε τον Μάρτιο του 2027. Αν ζητήσετε τα αποτελέσματα, το κάνετε μέσω της φόρμας επικοινωνίας, ξεχωριστά από την έρευνα, οπότε το email σας δεν συνδέεται με τις απαντήσεις σας. Το χρησιμοποιούμε μόνο για να σας τα στείλουμε και μετά το διαγράφουμε.
• Πόσο κρατάμε τις απαντήσεις: Οι απαντήσεις διατηρούνται έως δύο χρόνια, ώστε η επόμενη έκδοση να συγκριθεί με αυτή, και μετά διαγράφονται από το Tally, το οποίο τις αφαιρεί και από τα αντίγραφα ασφαλείας του εντός 90 ημερών. Επειδή δεν γνωρίζουμε ποιος απάντησε, δεν μπορούμε να βρούμε τις απαντήσεις ενός ατόμου μετά την αποστολή τους, εκτός αν μας δώσετε στοιχεία που μας επιτρέπουν να τις εντοπίσουμε. • Booking a call: if you book a call, the booking page is run by Cal.com. Cal.com receives the name, email address and any notes you enter, and adds the booking to our calendar. We process this data because you asked for the call.
• Analytics: if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, approximate location, device type. If you do not accept, no analytics cookies are set, but the Google tag still sends Google a limited, cookieless signal for each page view (such as the referring page, your browser type, screen size, IP address and the time).
• Payments through Stripe: the oversight readiness review and the EAA Exposure Report are paid on Stripe’s own checkout page. You enter your card details there; we never see your full card number. Stripe shares with us the details you enter at checkout, such as your name, email address and billing details, and a record of the payment, so we can deliver the work and invoice you. We process this data to carry out the purchase you asked for.
• Toolkit purchases through Gumroad: the toolkits are sold through Gumroad. The toolkits page loads Gumroad’s script to open its checkout; payment and download happen with Gumroad, which passes us your email address and what you bought.
• Your EAA checklist result by email (only if you ask): if you enter your email address on the European Accessibility Act (EAA) checklist and tick the box, it goes to our email provider, EmailOctopus, with your readiness score and band. The box reads: “Email me my readiness score, the fixes that close the most exposure, and occasional accessibility and EAA updates. I can unsubscribe at any time.” We use your address for exactly that. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
• New articles and the newsletter by email (only if you sign up): if you enter your email address in the “Get new articles by email” box on our articles, the Articles page or our human oversight pages and tick the box, your browser sends it straight to our newsletter provider, Sender (UAB Sender.lt, Vilnius, Lithuania), with the address of the page you signed up on. The box reads: “Email me new UXellence articles and the Room to Disagree newsletter. I can unsubscribe at any time.” We use your address only to send those emails and never share it. Sender records when you signed up and, like any website, sees your IP address when you send the form. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email; after that we keep only the record that you unsubscribed, so you are not emailed again by mistake. To have that record deleted too, email us.

Cookies

We do not set analytics or advertising cookies until you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode, which keeps analytics storage disabled by default. If you decline, no analytics cookies are stored, and the Google tag sends only the cookieless signal described above. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Strictly necessary preferences (such as remembering your cookie choice) are stored locally in your browser and are not used for tracking.

Third parties

Form emails are delivered through Apple’s iCloud Mail, and bookings are handled by Cal.com. Google Analytics is provided by Google. Payments are processed by Stripe and toolkit purchases by Gumroad; the checklist emails are sent through EmailOctopus, the article and newsletter emails through Sender, a Lithuanian company that states it hosts subscriber data in the EU, and the survey runs on Tally, a Belgian company that hosts the answers in the EU. The sign-up form on the EAA checklist is EmailOctopus’s own and loads a font from Google Fonts, so opening that page connects your browser to Google’s servers. EmailOctopus stores the checklist emails, Sender stores newsletter sign-ups, Cal.com stores bookings and Tally stores survey answers, on our behalf. Stripe, Gumroad, Google and Apple handle your data under their own privacy policies, linked above. Some of these services may process data outside the EU. Links to external platforms (LinkedIn, Medium, Amazon, ADPList, The Decision Lab) are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email matthaios@uxellence.gr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Retention

Form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting work. Bookings stay in our calendar for the same purpose. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' configured retention period. Purchase and invoice records are kept for as long as Greek tax law requires. Survey answers are kept for up to two years, so the next edition can be compared with this one, then deleted from Tally, which removes deleted answers from its backups within 90 days. The published report contains only aggregate results. If you unsubscribe from the checklist emails, EmailOctopus keeps your address marked as unsubscribed so that you receive nothing more; to have it deleted completely, email us.
